Shoot The Moon Ring by gemheaven Shoot The Moon Ring by gemheaven
I just had to make a matching ring to the earrings!!

A 16mm hammered cut disc with a flashy moonstone sat on the top with a gorgeous circle of bead wire soldered around to create a crown! The ring shank is texturised too and then oxidised and hand~polished to create a wonderfully mystical ring.

Ring size UK size N
US size 6 3/4

Moonstone is one of my favorite gems (is it classified as a gem? I don't know much about that, I just know I like it!). I think it looks a lot prettier in an oxidized setting than a bright silver piece - it just stands out even more, you know?

Thank you so much ~ and yes moonstone is a gem ~ I thought this would help :D

Moonstone is typically a potassium aluminium silicate, with the chemical formula KAlSi3O8.

The most common moonstone is of the mineral adularia. The plagioclase feldspar oligoclase also produces moonstone specimens. Its name is derived from a visual effect, or sheen, caused by light reflecting internally in the moonstone from layer inclusion of different feldspars.Taken from Wiki

Moonstone is one of my favourites too :)
